Job Description

With the 2018 CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship – certified by FIA (F4) season fast approaching, CAMS is seeking an F4 Technical Manager to manage, develop and oversee the technical requirements of the CAMS F4 Single Seater racing category. In addition, this role will assist with the management, preparation and review of technical regulations and technical documentation for various CAMS disciplines and groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • F4 technical compliance and conformity to the Sporting and Technical regulations
  • F4 engine and chassis data management
  • F4 Technical Delegate at events ensuring compliance, scrutiny and reporting
  • Management of the F4 spare parts program
  • F4 Technical stakeholder management
  • Preparation and management of CAMS Technical Regulations for various disciplines and groups
  • Preparation and management of CAMS Technical homologation and recognition documents specific to various disciplines and groups

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certification in engineering or automotive/industry mechanical trade
  • Demonstrated motor sport knowledge and experience, including:

    - Managing a technical role
    - Motor sport based data collation and analysis, including engine data
    -
    Use of engine/chassis dynamometer for tuning and diagnostics

  • Strong coordination, administration and technical service experience, including the preparation of technical documents
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills with experience building effective relationships and managing stakeholder engagement
  • Flexibility with hours of work which includes attending required motor sport events
