Tickford Racing is recruiting for a Composite Technician to join the team

Tickford Racing is searching for a Composite Technician to join the elite team based out of Campbellfield in Victoria.

The successful candidate will join the Repco Supercars Championship squad as it prepares to field four drivers behind the wheel of their Gen3 Ford Mustangs in Cameron Waters, James Courtney, Declan Fraser and Thomas Randle.

The squad will also compete in the second-tier Dunlop Super2 Series this year, with Elly Morrow and reigning Super3 Series title winner Brad Vaughan.

The Composite Technician role that the team is recruiting for will be solely responsible for producing and repairing composite components in the specific department.

Duties for the role nclude mould preparation and production, lay-ups, lamination, spray ups,structural repairs, product repair fillings and power tool usage.

Those who are successful will be able to work out of the large bespoke factory in Melbourne’s outer northern suburbs that is well equipped with modern, state of the art
autoclaves and ovens.

Parts are produced both Pre-Preg and wet layup for Tickford’s vehicles along with its customers.

The specific required for successful applicants are relevant qualifications in the field, either a current Certificate 4 or BITO qualification.

Experience in mould making from patterns and composite and fibre glass component manufacture and repair is also important to be considered for the role.

Excellent attention to detail and intricate hand skills will also be valuable additions to the team.
