EFI Hardware is currently recruiting for a Custom Performance Parts Assembler and Tester to join the team.

Considered a leader in the Australian aftermarket fuel injection industry, the Victorian-based organisation is offering a position to join the business during a period of expansion.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the end assembly of fuel injection intake systems, as well as associated component orders.

In relation to the role, it would suit a motor mechanic looking for a change to a clean environment from the performance industry, preferably with fabrication experience, while experience in automotive assembly/mechanical fitting is a must.

“Primarily it’s an assembler role, we make and manufacture lots of different products including throttle bodies, fuel pump assemblies, a lot of different aftermarket performance base sensors, mounts and bits and pieces as well,” EFI Hardware Operations Manager Zac Portelli said.

“There’s a lot of reasonably technical components need to get machined and then assembled.

“We’ve got almost 4000 different part numbers on file and it’s good to have someone that’s either in the industry or comes from a racing or mechanical background to essentially fill out the role.”

Portelli said the role has the potential to be multi-faceted.

“The role is reasonably flexible, there is a lot of research and development, a lot of either CAD work or drawing potential, even fabrication, the possibilities are endless, but depending on the skills will depend on where the role will end up essentially.”

He added that it is an exciting time to join the team.

“We are currently experiencing significant growth, our organisation has grown from four guys in a small shed in Michigan to 10 plus employees in a reasonably brand new facility in South Croydon,” Portelli said.

“Our facility is a brand new building, we have air conditioning and heaters, we have a variety of people there, we’ve got a full-time machinist, two to three sales staff, a couple of warehouse team members, it’s a growing team.”
