Junior Machinist

We are looking for a highly motivated and meticulous third or fourth year apprentice to join our busy V8 Supercar machine shop.

You will be required to manufacture various precision parts to a high standard. You will be setting up and running our 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines.

Support and supervisory assistance will be provided as required. Some manual lathe and milling experience is necessary also.

You may also be required to travel to the race track and assist with maintenance on the race cars.

On the job training will be provided for this part of the role, but some basic mechanical knowledge would be beneficial.

Experience required:

Experience in CNC milling is essential, plus basic manual lathe and milling work also.
Some CAD/CAM knowledge would be beneficial. We use Haas CNC machines and SolidCam software, so experience with either of these would be highly desirable.
