Situation Vacant: Number 1 Race Mechanic

Description:

Full time role available for a Number 1 Race Mechanic.

James Marshall Motorsport, based in Christchurch New Zealand, we are a very result-driven team involved in a lot of exciting projects.

We are looking for someone to share our passion and join us on our exciting journey.

The candidate will need to:

• Have previous experience in a number 1 role

• Be able to work to tight deadlines and in high pressure situations

• Be able to prep a race car fully and confidently without supervision

• Supervise and carry out full car preparation, set up / set downs

• Work with engineer and carry out setup changes

• Assist with setup / set down of all equipment

• Be a good team player and able to lead number 2 (and/or) number 3 mechanics

• Have a good attention to detail and be thorough

• Be able to interact with drivers and customers well

• Have their own personal tool kit

• Be presentable and well organised

• Take pride in their work and maintain a clean working environment

• Hold a full New Zealand driving licence (plus any additional licence preferred)

• Must be a New Zealand Citizen

Role will include working on a variety of Porsche Cup Cars, FIA GT3 Race Cars, Toyota 86’s and other selected race cars throughout the season.
