No. 1 RACE MECHANIC (Data Engineer Specialist)

-Based at Barbagallo Raceway, Perth, Western Australia
Arise Racing Pty Ltd is a motorsport team and training facility in Western Australia. They have built a state-of-the-art facility at Barbagallo Raceway. Arise are actively running a team in the WA Formula 1000 State Series which is currently one of the fastest race category in Australia. We also have 4 Radical SR3 Race cars that we use for professional driver training and corporate function days.
Arise are now seeking an experienced Race Mechanic with at least 5 years experience to assist with all facets of maintaining and developing the cars, race day preparation and repairs.
Major Functions and Accountabilities:
Developing workflow schedules and check lists for Teams to efficiently and thoroughly service vehicles.
Sign off on each vehicle after service as quality control to ensure safety.
The position works with the race cars in all forms of construction, repair, performance development, parts manufacture and maintenance.
Responsible for the manufacturing of new components, development parts, test components, research and development parts.
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all precision components of a race car.
Scheduling test sessions, working with drivers on track, carrying out setup changes during test sessions.
Developing the performance / maintaining and repairing the race cars.
Specialist set-up techniques of the race car, including but not limited to wheel alignment, corner weight, weight distribution, roll ratio, spring and shock absorber setting and adjustment.
The applicant is requred to be proficient in data engineering, allowing them to contribute to our R&D initiatives through analysis and prototyping, to produce F1000 components which are safer and faster to service. Skills required realting to data engineering are:
A thorough technical knowledge of all components of a race car.
Experience in data acquisition software such as AIM and Motec.
Experience in CAD design and Solidworks.
Experience in analyzing and diagnosing car system problems through data acquisition.
The applicant should have professional or personal motorsport experience in open wheelers, GT or V8′s.
Arise requires a person who is able and willing to work as part of a team.
