V8 Supercar Data Engineer

Who we are:

Brad Jones Racing (BJR) is a results driven business and is the only regionally-based team competing in the Repco Supercars Australia Championship and Dunlop Super2 Championship.

We will be running V8 GEN3 Chevrolet Camaro Supercars and Super2 ZB Holden Commodore Race Cars in the Super2 Series in 2024.

Our team is looking for a Data Engineer to join our engineering and high performance team, motorsport experience is favourable.

A little more about the role:

The role will be responsible for the data engineering support of our race cars; before, during and after race meetings and test days. The role may also have some scope for the completion of various engineering tasks including wiring, design and development projects, programming and data entry tasks.

The role will also be responsible for the maintenance of vehicle data acquisition systems, including all electronics, wiring and sensors.

Experience in working within a race team is preferable, as is a performance and results driven mindset.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes:

*Finely tuned data analysis and race engineering support skills including the ability to analyse vehicle data to maximise performance and strategy

*An ability to use data to develop new ways to characterise and display performance

*Goal orientated with an ability to meet rigorous deadlines

*A strategic mindset that can both plan and think quickly, before and during a race

*The ability to assist in the manufacture of electrical looms where appropriate

*The ability to develop and innovate within a fast paced and competitive environment

*Strong communication skills and a willingness to be a team player
