Ryder Racing is searching for members to join their 2023 team to run a GC8 National spec car in upcoming Interclub and BMW Supersprints.

Based in Tomago, the Newcastle-based company began trading in 2007 and now specialises in the motorsport preparation of Subaru, Nissan, Mini Cooper and Ford SBF.

A full-time motorsport mechanic and dyno operator and tuner role are being advertised with individuals applying having the ability to negotiate their salary based on experience and qualifications they may previously have obtained.

Ryder Racing Managing Director Michelle Ryder said it is an exciting time to join the team.

“We’re looking to expand to go to other states, but we need to get settled here first,” Ryder said.

“We’re looking to expand our motorsport programme and start doing more national events.

“As a workplace, it is a pretty easygoing place to work, with a family-friendly feel.”

The roles will both entail a performance and result-driven mindset, with motorsport industry or experience in a race team being preferable for the jobs.

Individuals looking to apply for the dyno operator role do need to possess proven knowledge with OEM software, LINK ECU, Haltec and Motec.

But any applicants who demonstrate an ability to problem solve under pressured time constraints with an attention to detail in mechanical skills will excel in applications.

Time management and communication skills, as well as a willingness to be a team player and a capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will also be preferable.
