Supercars Championship squad Team 18 is recruiting for a Technical Director to join the team.

The Victorian-based outfit is seeking an outstanding, passionate and high-performing candidate for the role.

The Technical Director will work closely with the engineering group to drive technical planning and coordination across all relevant engineering and design functions, to ultimately deliver improved performance on the track.

Team 18 Team Manager Bruin Beasley said the role presents a prime opportunity to join a team eager on achieving success.

Reporting to the Team Manager, the Technical Director will be responsible for delivering improved performance across both car setups through collaboration with and direction of the engineering group.

Other key tasks include working cohesively with the engineering group to meet timelines and in order to satisfy the expectations and obligations of the Supercar Championship schedule, providing leadership and input to support the engineering team in developing and communicating target specifications for the future cars, co-ordinating continual review of technical plans and car programme delivery, to drive improvement in car performance, develop strong relationships and open communication with drivers, to ensure messaging and feedback is conveyed to the broader team to facilitate required change and identify variances and support solution identification at track.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in engineering program management, or strategy experience, within a high-performance motorsport environment, outstanding communication and reporting skills, an energetic and resilient approach, with a strong work ethic and drive for continuous improvement, as well as the ability to represent themselves and Team 18 with positivity and professionalism.
