Tigani Motorsport has opportunities for several mechanics to join the team.

The professional motorsport operation based out of Wollongong, New South Wales has opportunities for two senior race mechanics and a junior mechanic to join the team.

The mechanics will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the cars for competition in categories such as Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, production sports and super sports as well as track days and events such as the Bathurst 12 Hour and Challenge Bathurst.

Ideally, candidates for the role will have general mechanical skills, knowledge of various motorsport software, ability to build and set-up race cars to required specifications, tyre-fitting, balancing and wheel alignment skills, as well as previous experience in the motorsport industry.

Team Owner Nathan Tigani said there has been no better time to join the operation.

“We have roles available for a couple of senior mechanics and potentially a junior mechanic to run our array of cars,” Tigani said.

“They will be responsible for the day-to-day running, maintenance and preparation of our fleet of race vehicles.

“There will also be the opportunity to travel to race tracks across the country.

“Ideally, for a senior mechanic we are looking for someone with a couple of years experience in motorsport working on GT3 cars, Porsche Carrera Cup cars, even those with Supercars experience.”

Tigani added that his organisation is currently in an expansion phase.

“We’re growing in stature massively,” he explained.

“We currently have three current spec GT3 cars, that we will run the rest of the year and we’re looking at also exploring other categories.

“We’re also looking at being able to do a bit of sub-assembly and fabrication in-house.”

As part of its recruitment drive, Tigani is looking for candidates that are passionate, as well as eager to learn and win.

“I’m born and bred motorsport, I have been all my life, so I’m looking for people with a similar passion for the sport,” he said.

“Our goal is not to go to these events and just participate, it’s to get results more than anything.

“Everything we do is about achieving those goals, so finding the right people is a big part of that process.

“There are also opportunities for growth and self-development.

“Above all else, the beauty of the nature is you get to work amazing cars and travel to amazing places, especially with our plans to take part in international events in the coming months.”

Candidates for the role must be an Australian citizen/resident or hold a valid long-term working visa to apply.

The total salary package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
