Triple Eight Race Engineering is looking for a highly motivated fabricator to join the operation.
The most successful team in the Supercars Championship is offering a full-time position for a Metal Fabricator to join the team with excellent working conditions.
In addition to Supercars, the team competes at the highest level in categories including GT World Challenge Australia and GT World Challenge Asia.
Triple Eight Race Engineering Co-Owner Jessica Dane said it is an exciting time to join the team.
“While the mad rush of preparing Gen3 cars for this season is over, we’re still ticking away building more new chassis, plus taking on other cool projects within motorsport and beyond,” Dane said.
“Our Advanced Manufacturing centre in Banyo is an amazing facility with a great group of people, we’re looking for someone who has that same level of care and detail.
“Motorsport experience isn’t vital, but of course it always helps, as does a love of motorsport, we’re hoping that someone will join our team who wants to help us win races for years to come.”
The successful applicant will be required to manufacture/remanufacture componentry and assemblies to the highest standards.
Duties that will be carried out as part of the role include the manufacturing of all Supercars parts including chassis fabrication, aluminium tanks, suspension components and pit equipment.
The successful candidate will be proficient in TIG and MIG welding of steel and TIG welding of aluminium, able to read and understand engineering drawings, produce a high standard of work, able to work unsupervised, willing to learn new skills and work overtime.
Based out of the Brisbane-based squad’s Advanced Manufacturing centre at Banyo, on-site benefits of the role include free off-road parking and subsidised lunches.
